Become a contributor
You do not need to be a developer or have published a mod. Clear descriptions, reliable sources and a willingness to help are what matter.
Registration opens in a new tab. Sign in with ChatGPT, choose a name or nickname, and tell us what you would like to contribute. Published work is optional. An administrator reviews your application before granting access.
From discovery to published listing
- Get approved. New contributors join as Lowly Servants and can create and edit their own drafts.
- Check the repository first. Reuse an existing entry or add the publisher’s repository with its official links. Draft repositories can be selected straight away.
- Add the plugin. Include its name, category, purpose, source page and any dependencies or setup notes. Submit information and links; XIV Mods does not host plugin files.
- Wait for review. A Disciple or administrator verifies the repository before approving the plugin. Saving a draft does not publish it, and submission does not guarantee acceptance.
Submission rules
- Keep it non-explicit. No nudity, exposed breasts or genitals, pornography, sexual acts, fetish material or overtly sexual descriptions or imagery. Tasteful, non-explicit and mildly suggestive character customisation is welcome.
- Flag external adult sections. A relevant publisher site may contain separate adult areas. Use the listing’s adult-content flag; do not reproduce explicit content or submit links whose purpose is pornography.
- No exploits. Do not submit duplication exploits, account theft, malware or tools designed to compromise other players or services. Describe automation honestly so reviewers can categorise it appropriately.
- Respect creators. Credit the original author and link to their website or repository. No leaked paid mods, pirated files or unauthorised reuploads.
- Be accurate. Explain what the plugin does, identify dependencies and distinguish confirmed information from assumptions. Do not claim guaranteed safety or compatibility with the current patch.
- Check for duplicates. Search the catalogue and repository library before adding an entry. Keep descriptions useful and avoid promotional spam.
- Protect personal information. Never submit passwords, tokens, private webhook URLs or other people’s personal details.
Reviewers may edit, decline or remove submissions. Read the terms and disclaimer and privacy policy before applying.
